CAIRO – 11 June 2017: The former Egyptian National team Ajax striker Ahmed Hossam “Mido” spoke about his period with Ajax and his coaching career.

Mido spoke about how he enjoyed his first spell at Ajax and thinks that it was one of places where he enjoyed playing football at the professional level.

“My first period at Ajax was very good. We won the title and had a very nice and young team,” Mido talked to Ajax1.

However, when he returned to Ajax when Maartin Jol took hold, Mido did not get as much playtime compared to what he got during his first spell.

“When I returned to Ajax in 2010, I did my utmost. I didn’t get much play time, but when I was allowed to play I scored and worked hard. When Martin Jol left, I knew it was the time for me to leave too,” Mido added to Ajax1.

Mido talked about his coaching career in Egypt and his hopes in the future to be the manager of Ajax. “I started coaching three years ago. I won the Egyptian cup with Zamalek as the youngest Egyptian manager ever. I hope to come to the Netherlands to continue my managerial career there. It would be very nice to manage Ajax,” reported by Kingfut.

Mido is now the manager of Wadi Degla and is running as a participant to get the certificate for the UEFA License A.
