CAIRO- 27 July 2019: Real Madrid suffered a 7-3 loss to their local rivals, Atletico Madrid, on Saturday during a pre season friendly game in USA.

Real Madrid’s new signings, Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic, started the game but they failed to add any value to Los Blancos who were 5-0 down at half time.

“The first half was difficult. We lacked everything. Above all intensity which is necessary at this level." Zidane said after the game.

Atletico Players dominated the game from the beginning and they were capable of scoring four goals after 27 minutes thanks to their goal scoring machine, Diego Costa.

Costa scored three goals at the first half before adding his fourth goal at the game at the opening minutes of the second half.

Zidane added “It was a bad game. But we will be motivated I have no doubts about that. Our season is going to be good. I am convinced.”

Real Madrid players aim to reconcile their fans after a disappointing season in which they failed to win any title and they were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League at the round of 16 by Dutch giants, Ajax.
