Algeria crowned AFCON winners for the second time in their history

CAIRO - 20 July 2019: Algeria crowned champions of Africa with a 1-0 win over Senegal in Cairo stadium.
The Desert warriorrs won their second title in the history since 1990.
Baghdad Boundjeh scored the only goal in the first minute of the match after his shot has been deflected by Senegal’s defender.
Algeria snatched the victory despite Senegal’s domination. The referee cancelled a penalty for Terranga Lions as VAR denied the decision.
Algeria’s midfielder, Ismail Bennaser, has been named 2019 AFCON Best player after his amazing performance all the championship.
Senegal failed to reap their first title in their history but they won the Egyptians’ hearts.
