Chelsea close to buying Bakayoko from Monaco

CAIRO – 11 June 2017: French midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko’s long-awaited move to Chelsea may happen in the next few days.

According to Skysports and L’Equipe, Bakayoko will travel to England within the next two days to complete the move to Chelsea. Chelsea will be pay Monaco £35 million to get the French midfielder from his current team, AS Monaco.

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is expected to be part of the deal, going to AS Monaco either as a loan or permanently, according to Skysports, which added that Batshuayi would prefer to go to Monaco over going to Everto in order to play Champions League football next season.

The arrival of Bakayoko to Chelsea means we could see the departure of Matic, Chelsea’s current midfielder. Chelsea could place Matic in the deal to sign the Italian defender Leonardo Bonnuci.

Bakayako played in 32 games with Monaco last season, scoring 2 goals, completing 87 percent pass accuracy and having a 55 percentage of successful duels won.
