CAIRO – 9 July 2019: Egyptian football fans are not having their best days after Egyptian national team was knocked out of 2019 African Cup of Nations held at home.

Following the early exit, the Egyptian media started new campaigns for Egyptian fans to attend the remaining games at the competition.

On the other hand, Zamalek fans do not need campaigns as they announced from the early days that they will attend the Tunisian national team games during the competition to support their beloved Tunisian star, FerjaniSassi.

Sassi joined Zamalek last summer and since then he established himself as one of the key players at Zamalek and played a great role in Zamalek’s successful season.

Sassi and his teammates defeated Ghana on Monday night to secure a spot at the tournament’s quarter finals and he hopes for Zamalek fans’ support against Madagascar on Thursday.

“I feel like we are playing at home. I want to thank all the Tunisian fans who came to Egypt to support us. I also want to thank Zamalek fans who supported me and I am waiting for them to show their support against Madagascar.” Sassi told press on Thursday.

Sassi, who just recovered from a knee injury, started the game against Ghana and he made a huge difference at his team’s performance.

Sassi scored the last penalty against Ghana to send his team to the tournament’s quarter finals.
