CAIRO – 10 June 2017: Victor Lindelöf is close to becoming Manchester United F.C.’s first signing of the summer, according to an article by SunSports. Benfica’s 22 year old defender is reported to be joining Manchester United for £35 million.

According to The Sun, Victor Lindelöf is expected to play for the Swedish National team in World Cup qualifiers against Norway on Tuesday. He will then fly to Manchester on Wednesday to complete his medical and finalize the move to Manchester United.

The Sun also mentioned that Lindelöf has been talking with players at the Swedish National team camp about how eager he is to join the club and play for the team and the fans.

The Swedish defender is expected to partner with Eric Bailly, Manchester United defender, as the two center backs for Manchester United next season.

After the deal with Lindelöf is finalized, Manchester United is expected to complete their second signing with the Spanish striker Alvaro Morata.
