CAIRO, 29 June 2019: The x-ray radiation of Mahmoud Abdel Rahim Gennesh, the goalkeeper of Egypt and Zamalek, has undergone proved that he had cut in the Achilles tendon.

Gennesh has tipped in his ankle without any player's participation during his team's training session on Friday to leave the city suffering from injury.

Egypt are set to meet Uganda in the last round of group stages on Sunday to decide the qualification as a first.

Egypt national team defeat DR Congo 2_0 on Wednesday night to achieve their second victory at the competition.

Egypt obtained six points to top group A, and to secure their qualification to the second round regardless of the result against Uganda at the last game at the group stage.
The medical team of the Egyptian team contacted with the Zamalek medical staff and has been informed of the details of Gennesh's injury, which will not continue in the team camp.
