CAIRO – 11 June 2019: Tunisia national team midfielder, Ferjani Sassi, joined his team’s training sessions and he is ready to participate in 2019 African Cup of Nations held in Egypt between 21 June and 19 July, according to the national team doctor, Suhail Al Shamali.

“He missed the last two months but he has fully recovered from his injury and he is ready to support the squad at the tournament.” Al Shamali told Time Sports on Monday.

Sassi suffered a serious injury during Zamalek’s clash against Mrocco’s Hassania Agadir at the CAF Confederation Cup quarter finals.

On the other hand, Al Shamali calms the Tunisian fans about the injury of Espérance’s defender, Ayman bin Mohamed, who recovered from his injury and will be ready to support the team at the tournament.

Tunisia plays in Group E alongside Mali, Mauritania and Angola.

Tunisia are searching for their second title at the competition and their first after 15 years of absence as they won their only title in 2004 at home.
