CAIRO – 9 June 2017: The Chelsea FC striker Diego Costa has informed the press on June 7 that Chelsea’s manager, Antonio Conte, believes that Costa will not have an essential role in Chelsea squad next season.

"I'm a Chelsea player, but they do not want me there. Antonio Conte has told me by message that I do not follow at Chelsea and that's it. Conte said he did not count on me for next season,” said Costa to ESPN on Wednesday night.

Costa, the Spanish International, has been linked with a move to AC Milan. According to Skysports, AC Milan FC is in talks with Costa’s agent Jorge Mendes.

If Costa’s transfer to Milan fails, we could see Manchester United enter the race to buy the striker. This could happen due to Mendes, who is the agent of both Costa and Jose Mourinho the current Manchester United manager.

Costa managed to score 22 goals and make 8 assists for Chelsea last season in the Premier League.
