UEFA announces hosts of 2018 competitions

Cairo 9 June 2017: UEFA announced Wednesday the host staduims of 2018 Champions league final, Europa league final and the Super cup final,the three stadiums were chosen by the UEFA Executive Committee meeting in Switzerland.


Egypt today explores the stadiums and their history with the big matches.


The committee chose the Olympic stadium in Kiev to host the Champions league final scheduled on 26th May 2018.


The Olympic stadium in Kiev hosted EURO 2012 final where Spain won Italy 4-0.


The Europa league final will be played in Parc Olympic Lyonnais in France on 16th May 2018, where 6 games in EURO 2016 were played, including the semi final Between Portugal and Wales which ended 2-0 for Portugal.


The Parc Olympic Lyonnais will also host matches in 2019 FIFA women’s world cup.


UEFA Super Cup will be played in A.Le Coq Arena in Estonia on 14th August 2018.


The Super Cup will feature 2018 Champions league and Europa league winners.


A.LE Coq Arena hosted 6 matches in 2012 UEFA U19 championship including the final.
