Doha super globe hosting, threatened

Cairo 9 June 2017: International Handball Federation “IHF” discusses moving IHF super globe competition scheduled in Doha from 25th August to 28th August this year to another country.

Qatar faces much troubles since the boycott decision from big Arab nations Egypt,Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Bahrain to the tiny gulf country.

This decision is expected to affect badly the sports industry in Qatar.


Al AhlyThe Egyptian giants and Saudi Arabian team El Noor are the arab teams qualified for the competition but their participation is doubtful.


IHF will try to save the competition after the rumors mentioned that Al Ahly is planning to boycott the competition.

2017IHF super globe is the 9th edition of the competitions,7 of them hosted by doha and the other two hosted by Cairo and Vienna.

Fox Berlin, Al Ahly SC, Al Noor Saudi Club, Sydney University Club, Sport Pinheiros club, and RK Vardar are the six teams that are expected to participate in the tournament.
