CAIRO – 14 May 2019: UEFA Referees Committee announced on Tuesday that Slovenian referee, Damir Skomina, will take charge of the all-English Champions League final between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

Skomina will be assisted by Jure Praprotnik and Robert Vukan, while Spanish Referee, Antonio Mateu Lahoz, will act as the fourth official.

The game is scheduled on 1 June in Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid.

Both teams reached the final after losing the first leg and bouncing back at the second leg.

Liverpool lost the first leg 3-0 in Barcelona and needed four goals with a clean sheet to reach the final.

Liverpool achieved the result they needed despite the absence of their stars, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino for injuries.

On the other hand, Tottenham reached the final after achieving a 3-2 victory over Ajax in Amsterdam despite their 1-0 loss at home.

Liverpool are searching for their sixth Champions League title while the Spurs eye the first Champions League title in the club’s history.
