CAIRO – 16 April 2019: Chelsea Italian manager, Maurizio Sarri, praises Liverpool Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, after his amazing performance against Chelsea on Sunday at Anfield where Liverpool defeated Chelsea 2-0.

“Liverpool are one of the best teams in Europe at this moment. They played very well for 90 minutes. But I think we stayed in the match very well today.” Sarri said after the game.

Mane opened the score for Liverpool at the first minutes of the first half and 142 seconds later Salah doubled the score for the hosts.

Salah received the ball 25 yards out and shot the ball that Chelsea goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, failed to stop.

Sarri added “Liverpool started the second half for 10 minutes in a very strong way and it wasn't easy to play against them in that moment. We were a little bit unlucky for the second goal for the timing of it, but Mo Salah is outstanding, it was a wonderful goal.”

Liverpool’s victory sent them to the Premier League top and they are two points ahead of the defending champions, Manchester City, who still have a postponed game.
