CAIRO – 26 March 2019: Tunisia Football Federation board member, Amin Mogo, revealed on Monday that their national team is ready to compete in the 2019 African Cup of Nations title.

“We trust our ability to win the African Cup of Nations' title after we qualified to the tournament as group leaders,” Mogo told 93.7 Radio Station.

Tunisia played in Group J at the African Cup of Nations Qualifiers alongside Egypt, Niger and Eswatini and they reached the tournament after they topped the group with 15 points from five victories and a loss to Egypt in Cairo.

Mogo added, “We are in a good condition ahead of the tournament and we have many experienced players who play in the domestic league and abroad. We will also count on our players in Egypt who will help us adapt quickly.”

Hamdi Naguez and Fergani Sassi play for Zamalek and Ali Maaloul wears Al-Ahly jersey and they will face each other at the Cairo Derby on March 30.

Tunisian fans hope to see their national team achieving the African title for the second time in their history as they won the title once in 2004 at home.
