Mido leads Al-Wehda to first draw with Al-Hilal since 2009

CAIRO – 10 March 2019: Saudi's Al-Wehda ended Al-Hilal's winning streak in the Saudi Arabian League by a 1-1 draw on Friday.

Al-Wehda, led by Egyptian manager Ahmed Hossam known as Mido, came back from Al-Hilal's stadium with a valuable point in the 23rd round of the Saudi Arabian League.

Mido has been appointed as Al-Wehda’s technical advisor until the end of the season and they announced later that he will be the club manager until they sign a new manager.

Al-Hilal's record of points reached 56 but the gap from Al-Nasr decreased to four points. While Al-Wehda's record of points became 36 and they remain in the sixth place.

The hosts, Al-Hilal, took the lead in the 46th minute through Carlos Eduardo but Al-Wehda leveled the score in the 75th minute through Gaber Eissa.

The last time Al-Wehda drew with Al-Hilal was 10 years ago in the Saudi Arabian League season 2008/2009.
