CAIRO – 6 JUNE 2017: Michael Carrick wore the Manchester United jersey for the last time in his farewell testimonial match on the old Trafford in front of 70 thousand fans on Sunday.

The game was between Manchester united 2008 XI and Michael Carrick All-Stars, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Gaizka Mendieta scored the first goal of the game for the All-Stars before Manchester equalized with a typical header goal by Nemanja Vidic, Michael Carrick All-Stars was back on top when Robbie Keane scored their second goal, Carrick didn’t want to leave the pitch for the last time without scoring a splendid goal from a 25-yard shot.

The 35-year-old midfielder has played for five different clubs in his career (West Ham United, Swindon Town, Birmingham City, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United), and participated in 701 matches in his career for both clubs and country, Manchester United’s official website said.

Carrick won 17 titles for Manchester United 17 titles (five Premier League titles, six Community Shields, two League Cups, one FA Cup, one Champions League, one Club World Cup and one Europa League Cup).

He praised Manchester United fans on his official twitter account, saying ”dream day yesterday for me and my family. Thank you to everyone who was a part of it. 70k people. Incredible! Your support means everything.”
