CAIRO – 4 March 2019: Zamalek Swiss manager, Christian Gross, revealed on Monday that he is satisfied with the team’s performance against Petro Atletico in Angola at CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday.

Zamalek achieved a 1-0 victory over the Angolan team to revive their hopes to reach the next round.

“It was a great performance from the players against a great team like Petro Atletico in front of their fans. I want to thank the players for their desire to win.” Gross said on Monday.

Zamalek achieved their first victory at the group stage following two draws at home and a loss to Kenya’s Gor Mahia at the opening game of the group.

Gross added” We have 5 points with two remaining games and we will fight to reach the next round.”

Zamalek hosts Gor Mahia at Borg El Arab Stadium before travelling to Algeria to face NA Hussein Dey at the last game of the group.

Zamalek are having a great season so far and they are leading the Egyptian League table with 52 points, four points ahead of the second placed, Al-Ahly.
