CAIRO - 3 March 2019: Hedaya Malak was crowned with a bronze medal under 67 kg at the US Open Taekwondo.

Malak got out of the American Championship from the semi-finals because of her inability to complete the game due to injury.The loser in the semi-final of taekwondo championships is awarded the bronze medal.

Hedaya Malak won the Egyptian International Championship Gold medal last week in Hurghada.

She also won Cyprus International Championship Gold medal last month.

Malak, 2014 Olympic Bronze medal winner, is getting ready for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics qualifiers.

Hedaya has a great record in the history of Taekwondo in Egypt. She was awarded 19 Gold medals, 12 Silver medals and 12 Bronze medals in her career.

She participated in different championships and tournaments including Olympic Games, World Championships, Grand Prix, Student World Championships, Continental Tournaments, Military World Games and Open tournaments.
