CAIRO – 17 December 2018: The agent of Egyptian defender Ahmed Hegazi, Christian Emile, revealed on Monday that his club, West Bromwich Albion, will reject any offer to sign the player.

“Hegazi did not receive any offer from Egypt recently and if it happens, the club will reject it. The club received an offer before from a Premier League side to sign him and they rejected it,” Emile told FILGOAL on Monday.

Since he joined the club in 2017, Hegazi has been a key player at the team and he represented the club at 38 Premier League games last season.

Despite his amazing performance with his team, Hegazi and his teammates could not avoid relegation to the championship.

“Hegazi’s target is to win promotion with West Bromwich and lead the team to the Premier League,” Emile added.

Rumors linked Hegazi with a return to the Egyptian League to play for his former club, Al-Ahly’s arch rivals, Zamalek.

West Bromwich are doing well at the championship this season and they are third at the table with 39 points, six points behind the league leaders, Leeds United.

Hegazi participated at 20 games with his club this season and his only goal came at their 2-1 victory over Swansea City.
