CAIRO - 27 November 2018: Liverpool Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, tweeted on Monday night to support animal rights, following rumors that Egypt intends to export stray dogs and cats to countries where they are eaten.

The winger posted a photo with his two cats and commented "Cats and dogs will not be exported ... It will not happen and it cannot happen."

Ministry of Agriculture spokesperson, Hamed AbdelDayem, denied on Monday the claims and said that Egypt only applies measures on pets that come to or leave Egypt.

The Egyptian winger always supports animal rights and has posted many photos before with his cats.

Salah has been named as Liverpool's player of the month of October for the first time this season.

The winger led his team to defeat Watford 3-0 on Saturday as he opened the score for his team at the second half.

Salah and his team have a decisive game on Wednesday night against Paris Saint Germain at the UEFA Champions League.
