Zamalek players celebrate scoring against El Gouna, Ahmed Maarouf

CAIRO - 27 November 2018: Zamalek defeated El Gouna 3-0 on Monday night at Petro Sport stadium to keep their amazing run at the Egyptian League this season.

El Gouna were the better side at the first half and they were close from opening the score by a shot from their winger, Ahmed Magdy, but Zamalek goalkeeper, Mahmoud Gennesh, saved it to keep the score 0-0.

Both teams failed to open the score at the first half to go to the half time with a goalless draw.

Zamalek had a better start at the second half and they opened the score after two minutes by their Tunisian midfielder, Fergani Sassi, who received a wonderful cross from Abdallah Gomaa.

Zamalek manager, Christian Gross, decided to replace Kasongo Kabongo by Omar El Said who just needed three minutes to double the score for Zamalek.

Three minutes later, Mahmoud Kahraba added the third goal after he received an amazing pass from Hamdy Niguez, that put him one on one with El Gouna goalkeeper.



Zamalek goalkeeper, Gennesh, saved a penalty from Ahmed Magdy 10 minutes before the final whistle to lead the team to win the game with a clean sheet.

Zamalek achieved their 10th victory at the League and the sixth in a row to keep their position at the top of the table with 32 points after 13 games.
