CAIRO - 26 November 2018: Al-Ahly former French manager, Patrice Carteron, sent his recommendations and his vision to Al-Ahly President, Mahmoud el-Khatib after the board took a decision to sack him.

"Carteron handed Khatib a list of seven players that he believes are not good enough for the team during a meeting after the CAF Champions League loss," Carteron's agent, Omar Nabil, told LTC on Monday.

Al-Ahly board, led by Khatib, sacked Carteron on Thursday after the team was eliminated from the Arab club champions cup round of 16 following a 1-1 draw to Emirati club, Al-Wasl.

The team earlier lost the CAF Champions League title after a 3-0 loss to Tunisian giants, Esperance, despite achieving a 3-1 victory at the first leg.

Nabil added "the manager did everything he can to adapt with the team's difficult situation and was waiting forthe winter market to sign many players to strengthen the squad."

Rumors linked Carteron with coaching different teams in Egypt like El-Masry and Enppi. Nabil commented on these rumors, saying "Carteron does not prefer to manage another team in Egypt but we arenegotiating with the Tunisian Football Federation to lead their national team"
