CAIRO – 22 November 2018: Al-Ahly's Moroccan striker, Walid Azaro, arrived on Wednesday in UAE and joined the team's delegation that arrived earlier to face Al-Wasl at the Arab Club Championship round of 16 second leg.

The player missed the team's trip on Tuesday because he was playing a friendly game with his national team against Tunisia on Tuesday night.

Azaro started the game on bench and watched Youssef En-Nesyri scoring Morocco’s only goal at the final minutes before half time. The striker participated in the second half of the game.

“I had an agreement with Al-Ahly manager, Patrice Carteron, to let Azaro play only 45 minutes because he will play on Thursday night against Al-Wasl,” Morocco national team manager, Herve Renard, told press after the game.

Azaro was named in Morocco's preliminary squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup but was later omitted from the final squad.

The first leg ended in Egypt with a 2-2 draw and Al-Ahly needs to achieve victory or a draw with more than two goals to reach the second round.
