Zamalek to host El-Hodoud, targets to remain top of league

CAIRO – 5 November 2018: Egyptian League leaders, Zamalek, will host Haras El-Hodoud on Monday night at the 13th fixture of the Egyptian League in Petro Sport stadium.

Zamalek goalkeeper, Mahmoud Abdel Rahim known as Gennesh, and the team’s defender, Mahmoud Hamdy, returned to the squad after they recovered from their injuries.

Zamalek veteran midfielder, Tarek Hamed, also returned to the team after he missed the last game against Wadi Degla over an injury.



Zamalek's chosen squad for the game consists of:

Goalkeepers: Emad el-Sayed, Mahmoud Abdel Rahim known as Gennesh

Defenders: Mahmoud Alaa, Mahmoud Hamdy, Ahmed Fattoh, Hazem Imam, Hamdi Nagguez

Midfielders: Abdallah Gomaa, Ibrahim Hassan, Mahmoud Abdel Monem known as Kahraba, Mostafa Fathy, Youssef Obama, Ibrahim Hassan, Mohamed Ibrahim, Tarek Hamed, Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Ferjani Sassi

Strikers: Omar el-Said, Kabongo Kasongo and Hamid Ahaddad.

“We hope to achieve victory to keep our amazing run at the league. All the players are doing everything they can at the training sessions to be ready to help the team at the games,” Zamalek manager, Christian Gross, told the club official website ahead of the game.

Zamalek are leading the league with 20 points, one point ahead of second placed, Pyramids.
