CAIRO – 23 October 2018: Arsenal playmaker, Mesut Ozil, has had one of his best performances on Monday night when he led the Gunners to defeat Leicester City 3-1 at the Premier League.

Ozil captained the Gunners line-up from the start for the first time and his manager Unai Emery praised him after the game.

“We have very clear captains and each one is important, but I think Ozil can play every match with his commitment and his quality,” Emery said after the game.

Ozil scored Arsenal’s first goal, gave a key pass to Arsenal’s second goal and provided an assist for Arsenal’s third goal at the game.

Emery added “Ozil had a very good performance today. We are going to push to demand more from ourselves and from him also.”

Arsenal achieved their seventh consecutive victory at the Premier League to share the second position with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspurs 21 points each, two points behind the Leaders, Liverpool and Manchester City.

Ozil and his teammates hope to achieve the Premier League title for the first time since 2004.
