CAIRO – 22 October 2018: Al-Ahly French manager, Patrice Carteron, expects a tough game against ES Setif at the second leg of CAF Champions League semi-finals on Tuesday night in Setif, Algeria.

“They are a very good team and their enthusiastic fans will do everything to help their team win,” Carteron said on Monday, Oct.22.

Carteron is used to the atmosphere in Setif as he faced their local team twice during his time as TP Mazembe manager and he could not achieve a single victory in both games.

The first game in 2013 at CAF Confederation Cup ended with a 1-1 draw and he lost 2-1 at the second game one year later at the CAF Champions League semi-finals.

Carteron added “We are focusing on our team and making the players ready for the game. We will play with big ambitions to reach the final.”

Al-Ahly defeated ES Setif 2-0 at the first leg in Cairo thanks to two goals from Walid Soliman and Eslam Mohareb.

Al-Ahly fans put all their hopes on their players to reach the final and achieve the title after they lost last year’s final to Wydad Casablanca.
