BUENOS AIRES, Oct 17 (MENA) - Egypt's Yasmine Nasr won the gold medal in the Karate competitions at the Youth Olympics Games, hosted by Argentina.

Nasr defeated her Japanese rival in the final game 2-1.

Earlier, Nasr overcame her Iranian counterpart 5-0 in the semifinal.

Egyptian boxer Ahmed El-Sawy on Wednesday won the bronze medal in the 91 kg competition at the ongoing 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games in Argentina.

He crushed his rival of Canada 5-0.
