CAIRO – 13 October 2018: Egypt defeated eSwatini 4-1 at Al-Salam stadium in the 3rd match-day of the 2019 African Nations Cup qualifiers' group stage.

Javier Aguirre, Egypt’s new coach, continued planting his philosophy in the Egyptian players’ minds as they presented an amazing performance, especially in the first half, and scored four goals after scoring six goals in the previous game against Niger.

Egypt now placed second in Group 10 with 6 points after the leader, Tunisia with 9 points.

The pharaohs started the game pressing eSwatini’s back-line which led to the first goal from Aston Villa’s Egyptian right-back, Ahmed el-Mohammady. He followed the ball came from Al-Ahly’s striker, Marwan Mohsen’s header from a corner kick in the 7th minute.

In the 10th minute, el-Mohammady provided a cross to Amr Warda who put the ball amazingly in eSwatini’s net.

In the 30th minute, Kasim Pasa’s winger, Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, scored his first international goal with Egypt’s first team.

Liverpool’s winger, Mohamed Salah, brought joy to the fans in the 45th minute when he scored the fourth goal directly from corner kick.



In the second half, Egypt slowed down the tempo and played a poor 45 minute which led to eSwatini first goal in the 85th minute.

Egypt is set to face eSwatini in the 4th round next Tuesday, 16 October.
