CAIRO – 9 October 2018: Ahmed Ali, national team and Arab Contractor striker, left the national team camp on Oct. 9 after he suffered a muscle injury during the training session.

The player will not be fit for both games against Swaziland on October 12 and 16 at the 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The national team manager, Javier Aguirre, hopes Al-Ahly striker, Marwan Mohsen, is ready for the game as the player suffered an injury during Al-Ahly game against Al-Ittihad at the Egyptian League.

The only available striker to feature in the game is Ahmed Hassan known as Koka after Al-Ahly’s Salah Mohsen missed the camp for injury.

On the other hand, Liverpool Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, postponed his arrival to the national team camp for personal issues and he is expected to join the camp on Oct. 10.

Egypt are second in the group with three points, three points behind the leaders, Tunisia, while Swaziland are sharing the bottom of the group alongside Niger with one point each.

The game is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 12 at 8 p.m. at Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo and they meet four days later at Manzini, Swaziland.
