CAIRO – 21 September 2018: La Liga Barcelona leaders intend to advance their 100-percent record in the latest Catalan derby against Girona on Sunday, with more legendary rivalries by the weekend.

Ernesto Valverde, Barça’s coach, has gained four wins from four games so far, through offensive heroes Lionel Messi and Ousmane Dembele, who opened the league in flying form. Girona visitors are looking forward to their very first ever expected victory at Nou camp, as they occupied the sixth rank in La Liga Stander standings by the beginning of the weekend.

Real Madrid, which ranked in the second place, will lead their opponents in the rankings for at least 24 hours, only if Espanyol is defeated at home by Julen Lopetegui’s side. However, being defeated for nearly 22 years by the Santiago Bernabeu, Espanyol have shown noticeable improvement under new coach Rubi.

Diego Simeone, who had gave an impressive performance as a manager throughout his career, was beaten by Getafe with a margin of two points for the Spanish club. The Argentinean manager gained 11 wins, two draws, and 13 clean sheets in 13 derby confrontations, which in turn augurs Atlético Madrid.

The strongly anticipated match starts on Friday evening, when new boys Huesca welcome Real Sociedad at El Alcoraz stadium where La Real last visited in 2010 when the two teams were playing as 1l2l3 in La Liga.
For the first time since March 2002, Rayo Vallecano hosts Alaves in a La Liga Santander in Saturday, when the coaches of both teams Michel and Abelardo Fernandez were still playing for their own clubs.

Celta Vigo and Real Valladolid have not met in La Liga for five seasons, so both hope that Saturday’s afternoon game at Balaidos aids in getting their 2018/2019 campaigns back on track.

Saturday at midday witnesses the meeting of Eibar and Leganes in Eibar’s home, which basically combines two small clubs together, who have already met multiple times in the lower classes, and who are now illuminating symbols of how smaller clubs can reach up to La Liga’s top flight.

Levante hosts Sevilla at the Ciutat de Valencia on Sunday at lunchtime, when the two teams seek to begin a new winning streak after facing difficult confrontations and results recently. Levante’s city competes with Valencia before travelling to regional neighborhoods such as Villarreal, which has had the luck of carrying five wins from their latest six La Liga matches.
