CAIRO - 18 September 2018: Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy received on Tuesday Egypt women's national squash team after retaining World Team Squash Championship.

Egypt defeated England in the final match of the championship that was held in China.

This is the fourth time for the Egyptian team to snatch the title.

Egyptian world's sixth-ranked squash player Nouran Gohar played in the opening match against England’s Alison Waters.

Gohar raced to a two-game lead, but Waters bounced back to level the match.

It took just 55 minutes Gohar to win 11-9, 11-9, 6-11, 7-11, 11-7 for Egypt’s opening point.

In the battle of former World No 1s, Egypt’s Raneem El Welily defeated Laura Massaro 11-3, 11-8, 9-11, 11-3 in 36 minutes for the title.
