CAIRO – 8 August 2018: Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) Referees Committee has selected Moroccan referee, Redouane Jiyed, to take charge of Ismaily clash against Kuwait SC at the Arab Club Champions Cup round of 32 first leg on Sunday night.

Redouane Achik and Hesham Ayet will be the assistant referees for the game.

Jiyed, 39, is one of the experienced referees at the African continent and he was selected to officiate at the 2017 African Cup of Nations where he took charge of the Senegal-against-Zimbabwe game at the group stage.

The Kuwaiti team arrived on Wednesday to Ismailia and they will train behind closed doors to prepare for the game.

This game will bring back good memories for Ismaily manager, Kheïreddine Madoui, and Kuwait SC Tunisian midfielder, Hamza Lahmar, who worked together during last season at Tunisian club, Etoile Du Sahel.

Madoui will count on the experience of Ismaily’s vetern players, Hosni Abd Raboh, Essam El-Hadary and Mahmoud Metwally to achieve a comfortable victory before the second leg in Kuwait.

On the other hand, UAFA Referees Committee has selected Egyptian referee, Mahmoud El Banna, to officiate UAE’s Al Jazira game against Saudi Arabian club Al Nasr on Monday night in UAE.
