Gross announces Zamalek squad for the League opener

CAIRO – 31 July 2018: Zamalek Swiss manager, Christian Gross, revealed on Monday Zamalek squad for the Egyptian League opener against Petrojet at Suez Stadium.

Zamalek’s new signings, Emad el-Sayed, Mohamed Hassan, Ibrahim Hassan, Bahaa Magdy and Hamid Ahaddad were included in the list.

Mahmoud Abdel-Monem known as Kahraba and Mostafa Fathy, who returned from their loans in Saudi Arabia, were also included in the list.

Zamalek will miss Tarek Hamed and Mahmoud Alaa for cards accumulation from last season, while Mohamed Abdel-Salam will miss the game for injury.

Gross’ chosen squad for the game consisted of Emad el-Sayed, Omar Salah, Mahmoud Abdel Rahim known as Gennesh, Mohamed Abdel Ghani, Hamdi Nagguez, Bahaa Magdy, Mahmoud Hamdy, Ahmed Fattoh, Hazem Imam, Mohamed Ahmed, Mahmoud Abdel-Aati, Mohamed Antar, Youssef Obama, Omar el-Said, Ayman Hefny, Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Mohamed Hassan, Abdallah Gomaa, Ibrahim Hassan, Mahmoud Abdel-Monem known as Kahraba, Mostafa Fathy, Kabongo Kasongo and Hamid Ahaddad.

Zamalek players hope to reconcile their fans after a disastrous run at the League last season as they finished the competition at fourth position.

The game will start on Tuesday at 9 p.m. (CLT).
