CAIRO – 25 June 2018: The draw of the 2019 World Men’s Handball Championship, hosted by Copenhagen on Monday, put the Egyptian handball national team in group D.

The tournament will be hosted by both Denmark and Germany, from January 10-27, 2019; group D, which also included the national teams of Sweden, Hungary, Qatar, Argentina, and Angola, will be hosted by the Danish capital of Copenhagen .

The draw results were as follows:

Group A (Berlin): Germany, South Korea, Brazil, Serbia, Russia, and France.

Group B (Munich): Croatia, Japan, Iceland, Macedonia, Bahrain, and Spain.

Group C (Herning): Denmark, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Tunisia, Austria, and Norway

Group D (Copenhagen): Sweden, Angola, Egypt, Argentina, Qatar, and Hungary.

The tournament will adopt a new system, as the participating teams will play a first stage in the form of groups leading to the nomination of three teams from each group to the main role, which will be in the form of two groups, and the first and second of each group will qualify to the semi-finals.
