CAIRO – 24 June 2018: Karam Kurdy, EFA board member, hinted that Egyptian national team’s coach, Hector Cuper, will not renew his contract after the 2018 World Cup.

“I think Cuper will not renew his contract even If EFA offered him a new one,” Kurdy said to Al-Hadaf radio program.

The Egyptian national team bid farewell to the most important football tournament after they lost the first two matches; the first was against Uruguay and ended by Egypt’s loss 1-0 with a goal in the last minutes of the game, while in the second match the Egyptians lost 3-1 with the participation of Salah.

“The foreign coach is the best for Egypt in the next period,” Kurdy added.

Cuper, previously, pointed that he will not renew his contract as most of the Egyptian fans are not pleased with his tactics.

"All the players and the coaching staff focus on Saudi Arabia’s match; they feel responsible and seek to achieve a positive result, although it is not affecting our chances to qualify," Kurdy added.

Egypt will face Saudi Arabia next Monday, the team which also failed to qualify to the next round after it lost from Uruguay and Russia, as well.
