CAIRO – 16 May 2017: Egyptian fencer and World’s no.13 Alaaeldin Abouelkassem will take part in the Grand Prix, which is scheduled to kick off next Friday in Shanghai, China.

The London 2012 Olympics silver medalist has been ranked 34th in the Fencing World Cup, which took place in Russia on May 6.

In February 2017, Egyptian fencer Mohamed Hamza prevailed as World’s no.3 after earning a bronze at the Under-20 World Cup, which took place in Italy.
