CAIRO – 12 June 2018: Al-Ahly has finally settled on a new head coach, as the team announced on Tuesday officially signing Frenchman Patrice Carteron for two seasons.

Al-Ahly official website mentioned that Carteron will arrive to Al-Ahly Club on Wednesday to start his new mission with the red giant, and arrange with the coaching staff details regarding preparations for the new season.

Carteron was chosen from a long list of coaches, but Al-Ahly declared that its Football Committee chose the Frenchman for his young age compared to other football coaches, as he's only 48 years old.

The Football Committee stressed that Carteron has a good knowledge of the Egyptian Premier League players in general, and Al-Ahly players in particular, as he coached Wadi Degla in the 2016/2017 season and achieved great progress with them.
