CAIRO – 10 June 2018: Egyptian national team's delegation arrived to Grozny International Airport, Russia, on Sunday afternoon to participate in the World Cup for the first time since 1990.

The Pharaohs' delegation, headed by EFA member Essam Abdel-Fatah, is set to perform their first training session. The Egyptian team arrived five days before their first match against Uruguay on Friday, June 15 at 2 p.m. (CLT).

Presentation revealed the bus that will transport the Egyptian national team's delegation in Russia. Egyptian people chose a slogan to be written on the bus: "When You Say the Pharaohs, the world must get up and listen."

Egypt’s chosen squad for the World Cup consists of:
Goalkeepers: Essam el Hadary, Sherif Ekramy and Mohamed el Shennawy
Defenders: Saad Samir, Ahmed Hegazi, Omar Gaber, Ali Gabr, Mohamed Abdel Shafy, Ayman Ashraf, Ahmed Fathy, Mahmoud Hamdy and Ahmed el Mohamady.
Midfielders: Sam Morsy, Mohamed el Neny, Tarek Hamed, Abdullah el Said, Mahmoud Hassan known as Trezeguet, Amr Warda, Mahmoud Abdel Razek known as Shikabala and Ramadan Sobhy.
Strikers: Mahmoud Abdel Monem known as Kahraba, Marwan Mohsen and Mohamed Salah.
Egypt plays in Group A alongside the South American giant, Uruguay; Arab rival, Saudi Arabia; and the host, Russia.
The Pharaohs will then meet Russia on June 19 at 8 p.m. before ending the group stage against Saudi Arabia on June 25 at 4 p.m.
