CAIRO – 28 May 2018: Egypt national team manager, Hector Cuper, revealed on Monday that Arsenal midfielder, Mohamed el Neny, will participate at the friendly game against Colombia on Friday.

Neny missed Egypt's friendly game against Kuwait on Friday that ended with a 1-1 draw.

Neny sustained ligament damage to his left ankle during Arsenal game against West Ham at the Premier League on April 22 and since then he was ruled out his club and the national team.

On the other hand, Aston Villa defender, Ahmed el Mohamady, is set to rest in the match against Colombia.

Mohamady joined the national team camp in Italy on Monday after he participated in Villa’s 1-0 loss to Fulham at the Championship play-off on Saturday and failed to get promotion to next season's Premier League.

Egypt is preparing to participate at the 2018 World Cup in Russia after 28 years of absence. Egypt is set to play two friendly games against Colombia and Belgium on June 1 and June 6, respectively.

The national team plays in Group A alongside Saudi Arabia, Russia and the host nation, Russia.
