Lopetegui announces Spain’s squad list for World Cup

CAIRO – 21 May 2018: Julen Lopetegui, Spain’s national team head coach, has announced his team's final list for the World Cup, which will kick off next month in Russia.

The biggest surprise was the absence of Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata, as well as his teammate Marcos Alonso and Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin.

It is worth mentioning that the Spanish team is in the second group in the World Cup, alongside Portugal, Morocco and Iran.

The squad list came as follows:
