CAIRO, May 17 (MENA) – Egyptian Ambassador to Burundi Abeer Bassiouni Radwan held a ceremony at the embassy for Egyptian winners in the 2018 African Junior Championship for Judo.

The Egyptian players won 31 medals in the Championship that held in the Burundian capital, Bujumbura, from May 10 to 13.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement Thursday the ceremony was attended by Burundian judo federation’s president Valery Manirakiza, the treasurer, Burundian organizers of the championship, key figures of the Egyptian community in Bujumbura and members of the Egyptian delegation
to the tournament.

Egypt’s delegation, chaired by the Egyptian judo federation board member Amr Makram, included 30 athletes, five coaches and a referee. They won six gold medals, 11 silver and 14 bronze.
