CAIRO – 15 May 2018: Amr Warda, the Egyptian national team and Atromitos forward, was named the best player of the 2017/2018 Greek Premier League, after he had won a poll made by the famous Greek TV network, Nova Sport.

Warda posted on his Twitter account a photo of him holding the Best Player Award and captioned it, “Officially Best Player in Greece.”




The Egyptian forward has had a great season with his team, as he participated in 23 games in the league where he scored eight goals and assisted seven others; Warda also scored three goals at the Greek Cup competition in five matches.

Warda joined Atromitos in June 2017, coming from PAOK Saloniki on a loan transfer which ends at the end of season; he was called among the preliminary squad list for the World Cup, made by Hector Cuper, the Egyptian national team head coach.
