CAIRO – 9 May 2018: Despite Salah’s amazing form with his club, Liverpool, this season, Saudi Arabia Spanish manager, Juan Antonio Pizzi, revealed that his team has no special plans to stop Salah when Saudi Arabia faces Egypt at the World Cup.

“We have some fantastic defenders and we have confidence in our team and in the skills of our players. There will be no special plans for Salah but for sure we have the players who can stop him,” Pizzi told Arab News during the 2019 Asian Cup draw held in the UAE.

Pizzi praised Salah’s performance at the Premier League, saying “Mohamed Salah is a very, very talented player; his level at the moment is extremely high and he is certainly one of the best players in the world right now, if not the top in his current form.”

Salah has had a stunning season with Liverpool, scoring 43 goals including 31 in the League to be the Premier League top goal scorer, four goals ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s, Harry Kane.

The Spaniard added, “We expect a good performance against Egypt; we expect a good performance in all of our group games.”
