CAIRO – 1 May 2018: Liverpool announced on Monday their nominations for the season awards, and their Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah, is nominated to win two awards.

The club invited fans to vote for the Player of the Season, Ladies Player of the Season, Young Player of the Season and Goal of the Season awards.

Salah is a big contender to win the Player of the Season award after a stunning debut season with the club.

The Egyptian winger was named PFA Player of the Season after an amazing performance with the club, having scored 43 goals, including 31 goals in the league to be the Premier League top goal scorer, five goals ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane.

He also led the team to the Champions League semi-finals, and they are only one game away from playing the final in Kiev, as they defeated Roma 5-2 in the first leg of the semi-finals.

Salah scored some magnificent goals this season for his club and he is competing for the Goal of the Year award for five goals.

The first nominated goal is his screamer against Stoke City in the league in November; the game ended with a 3-0 victory for Liverpool.

Salah’s second nominated goal was his wide shot against Everton at the Merseyside derby.

Salah’s third nominated goal was the one against Manchester City in the league when he put the ball in the net after City’s goalkeeper, Ederson Morales, failed to clear the ball.

Salah’s fourth nominated goal came against Tottenham Hotspur in the added time after he dribbled past the opponent’s defender to score a beautiful goal.

Salah’s fifth goal was against his former team, Roma, in the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals. This goal opened the way for Liverpool to win the game 5-2.

Salah and his teammates are preparing for the second leg of the Champions League semi-finals against Roma, which will be held at Rome’s Olympic Stadium on Wednesday.
