CAIRO – 24 April 2018: The Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) Club Championship draw held on Tuesday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia resulted in tough clashes for Zamalek and Ismaily.

The draw put both teams against two Kuwaiti clubs; Zamalek will play against Qadsia SC, while Ismaily will face Kuwait SC.

Kuwait SC are the Kuwait Premier League title winners, while Qadsia SC are the runners-up.

Zamalek and Ismaily will play the first leg in Egypt and the second leg will be played in Kuwait.

The tournament will include 32 teams. Thirty teams were already chosen and the other two teams will be determined after a qualification round, which will be played with the knockout system.

Al-Ahly will play against the winner of qualification group A, while the title holders, Tunisia’s Espérance, will face the winner of qualification group B.

This year’s edition of the UAFA tournament will be played with the home and away matches system, as it won’t be in one place like last year, when it was hosted by Egypt.

The champion will win $6 million, while the runners-up will win $2.5 million.
