CAIRO – 24 April 2018: Al-Ahly’s official Twitter account celebrated the 111th anniversary of the founding of the club.

The CAF Club of the 20th Century, Al-Ahly is celebrating on Tuesday with the memory of passing 111 years since the club was founded in 1907, amid unprecedented achievements both at the structural level and the competitions achieved at the local and continental levels.

The Egyptian Premier League champions posted a short documentary on Twitter called “111 years Ahly”, which talks about the club’s achievements over the years. A number of Al-Ahly stars participated, such as Rabie Yassin, Ahmed Belal, Khaled Bibo and Taha Ismail, in addition to the mother of former Al-Ahly player Mohamed Abdel Wahab, who passed away at Mokhtar El-Tetsh field at Al-Ahly club while he was training with the team.




The first Al-Ahly board meeting was held on April 24, 1907 at the house of the club’s first president, Mitchell Ince, with the participation with Idris Ragheb, Ismail Serry, Amin Samy, Omar Lotfy and Mohamed Sherif, according to Super Kora.
