HONG KONG - 21 April 2018: Henan Jianye have announced the departure of coach Croatian Dragan Talajic after the Chinese Super League (CSL) side managed just one win in the first seven matches of the current season.

Henan lost 2-0 on Friday evening to Chongqing Lifan to drop to 14th in the standings in the 16-team league and are now just one point clear of the relegation zone.

"After cordial discussions between Henan Jianye and Dragan Talajic, the contract between the two parties has been invalidated," the club said in a statement on Saturday.

"We would like to thank Mr Talajic for his efforts and contributions to the club and we will wish him all the best in the future."

Talajic is the third CSL coach to leave his post so far this season after Ma Lin was fired by Dalian Yifang and Fabio Capello quit from his role with Jiangsu Suning.
