CAIRO – 21 April 2018: Ismail Youssef, Zamalek SC board member and football general supervisor, revealed that Zamalek’s board will decide their new foreign coach after their match with Al-Ahly.

Zamalek is set to face Al-Ahly on April 26 in the Egyptian League at Cairo International Stadium at 8 p.m. (CLT).

“We have many CV’s for a lot of coaches; we will decide this issue after Al-Ahly’s match,” Youssef said, according to the Filgoal website.

“The next coach must have a strong personality; all the big clubs have this kind of coach,” Youssef assured.

“Before the start of the next season, the coach will have four months, and this is a very good chance for the team to be well prepared,” Youssef added.

The Egyptian League’s new season will start on August 3.

Zamalek SC announced the sacking of Ehab Galal following the 2-1 loss against Ittihad in the 31st round of the Egyptian League.

Zamalek suffered under Galal’s command, as the club was eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup and lowered their chances to end the Egyptian League in second place and qualify to the CAF Champions League next season.
