CAIRO – 13 April 2018: Arsenal’s Mohamed Elneny was named the UEFA Europa League’s player of the week after his amazing performance in the 2-2 draw against CSKA Moscow.

Arsenal qualified to the UEL semi-final to face Atletico Madrid after beating CSKA Moscow in the UEL quarter-final 6-3 on aggregate.

Elneny obtained 84 percent of the votes, topping the list that included Marseille’s Dimitri Payet, Salzburg’s Amadou Haidara and Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak.

Elneny provided two assists in the 2-2 draw against CSKA Moscow. He also scored a goal, but it was disallowed for the offside rule.

This is the first time in history for Elneny to get this award in an European competition. However, he was also named Arsenal’s player of the month in March for his amazing performances with the Gunners.
