CAIRO – 6 April 2018: Spanish national team’s coach, Julen Lopetegui, stressed that Real Madrid’s midfielder Francisco Alarcon 'Isco' has always been sensational with the national team and not only these last two matches, against Germany and Argentina, in which Real Madrid’s player was one of the most outstanding players in the world.

"Isco has always been sensational with us and is a player we have confidence in," he said at the Bilbao International Football Summit 2018, a forum that brings together different international soccer personalities two months before the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

"With [Isco] and all our players, we want them to be happy and have the highest number of minutes, but it is not a question that we can control," he noted.

After a phenomenal performance on March 27, when Isco led Spain to defeat Argentina 6-1, the Spaniard spoke about the difference between his performance with the national team and his club, Real Madrid.

“In Madrid, I don't have the confidence a player needs; the matches with the national team give me life and here I have the confidence of the coach,” Isco told press after the game.

The Spanish midfielder scored three goals and provided an assist to lead his team to destroy the 2014 World Cup runner-up, Argentina.
